Club Honors - The Golf Club at Bridgewater has been ranked 18th in Florida by Golfweek Magazine’s 2008 list of Best Courses “You Can Play”. This is the first appearance on the list for the new Steve Smyers designed course and one of the first such awards for a Lakeland golf course.
The Golf Club at Bridgewater has been selected for the 2009 Best of Lakeland Award in the Public Golf Courses category by the US Commerce Association. 


Proud Hosts - Bridgewater was the proud host for the Duramed Futures Tour 2010 Qualifying School November 3-6, 2009.  320 aspirating LPGA tour players competed over 72 holes of play. 
Bridgewater is the home course for Lake Gibson High School boys team, go Braves!

New Management - The Professional Golf Association of America has acknowledged Bridgewater as a Certified PGA facility.  Dana Saad has joined the Bridgewater team as General Manager & Director of Golf.  A PGA Class “A” member in good standing since 1985 he has served as General Manager at three Florida upscale clubs, Avila, Gainesville CC and Emerald Greens the past 18 years.   
Also Derek Stanley has been hired as our Golf Course Superintendent.  He comes to us from Orange Lake in Orlando.  Derek has a 4-year turf grass management degree from Oklahoma State University. Upon graduation he was the Assistant Superintendent at Karsten Creek a top 100 golf course in the nation.

Golf Lessons - are available from PGA Professional Dana Saad and Assistant Golf Professional Dave Shallow. Instructions are available to all skill levels, private, group, and juniors. A 45 minute lesson is $40 or a series of 4 for $140. Juniors receive 20% discount.

Summer Junior Golf Camp - The Kids are almost out of school for the summer and there is no place better for them to be but The Golf Club at Bridgewater. We will be having 6 weeks of Summer Junior Golf Camp targeted to juniors, age 7 through 17. Each week is Monday – Friday from 9 am – 1 pm. We will work on all aspects of the game including: full swing, short game, chipping, putting, and grip. Summer is just around the corner so sign up your junior golfer in the Pro Shop soon. The camp dates are as follows:

Session 1 – June 14 – 18 & June 21 – 25
Session 11 – July 12 – 16 & July 19 – 23
Session 111 – August 10 – 13 & August 16 – 20
The cost is $100 per week.  In addition to PGA professional instruction the camp includes daily snack breaks and lunch.

Snack Bar – You will find a variety of Mini Spirits in the snack bar (50ml). You have your choice of Jack Daniels, Stoli, Bacardi, Dewar’s, Canadian Mist, and Bombay. Also The Club House now has Wi-Fi internet access.
Greens Aerification Dates - The course will be closed all day on June 6th, July 7th, and September 9th.

GHIN Handicap - We have the USGA/GHIN handicap system  You can post your scores, keep track of your rounds and have an official USGA handicap for tournament play.
